almost Christmas baby...

So im a first time mom and  I'm due a week before Christmas on 12-15. I know I'll still be sore everywhere after delivering, but the fact it'll be extremely cold in December... would you already moms think it'd be ok to take baby out so soon? To like a family Christmas party?

I'm due December 16th... I told my family and friends if they want to stop by my house for the holidays that would be fine, but I'm not bringing my baby boy out in the cold that soon...

I had my baby on christmas but if it was earlier in December I would have brought him to the Christmas party. You can always use the excuse that he is sleeping so people don't keep holding him.

I had my daughter Dec 20 and went to our families Christmas party and we were actually go go go all Christmas day. From our house to my mom's, to my mom's family, then to my dads, back home, than back to my mom's side of the family. Seriously non stop with a newborn and I felt fine and she was great. Everyone got to see her and hold her. I was able to keep up fine and so was she.

My twins were born 12/02 and we still visited family for Christmas. Temp was mid 30's at the time. It was difficult. I had a csection so still sore. I don't regret it but my circumstances have changed. My baby is due in Jan but if she was going to be a December baby I would be having people come visit us. Mostly because I didn't feel like I had very much control at families houses. People kept picking them up when I didn't want them to and running off with them when I just wanted to BE with my babies. Also I was grouchy and tired and in pain and was sort of expected to not feel that way because it was a Christmas party.

In my best opinion I dont think that you should have the baby out... even tho it's from house too house because its too many ppl around and you need too bond w/ your New Born Baby... Your family will have plenty of time too see your bundle of joy... Have family members come visit you home

Oh wow! I mean I know to bundle baby up a lot, especially when it'll more than likely be in the 30's. Not all of my family has seen me pregnant,  but they are all hoping me and baby go to the Christmas party. :) I mean it sounds fun now....but I know I will be so sore still.

I'm pregnant with my third. My first was born July 3, i took her to a july4th party on July 7th. My second was born January 1. There was a JCPenny closing by my house. All baby clothes were 75% off....i took him shopping, in a blizzard lol. It's totally up to you. I made sure they were dressed properly. And I made sure I wasn't too far from home, that way if I needed to get home I could quick
