Braxton hicks

hi ladies, my question today is about Braxton hicks. Could any of you kindly explain what they feel like and how to recognize them? I think I've never had one throughout my pregnancy (I'm 27 weeks pregnant) and I'm getting a bit anxious because I'm supposed to have them already! The only thing I have felt is after an orgasm, Ny belly gets super hard, but that's all. So I just want to hear your experience about Braxton hicks!

Yep what you just described particularly after orgasm is what I experienced with my first. I found my Braxton hicks got pretty painful as I approached full term and were worse than the actual contractions during labour lol

Thanks for answering ladies!
So, my belt getting super hard after an orgasm are actually Braxton hicks contractions? Does it happen to you too?

I didn't have them with my first, it's usually with the second, I have read?! Ur belly goes hard, from the sides and pulls together. It can be uncomfy almost painful but if you talk through them, they are Braxton hicks and not contractions. They are more tightening, rather that contraction was pulls deeper... It's hard to explain. Your belly goes hard and can change shape to a cone or a pyramid rather than a sphere? Hmmm yes thats the best I can do :)

Mine are actually quite uncomfortable,  much of the time they are just annoying.  Can be a tightening of your abdomen with some mild discomfort.  Some people never get them though. I never had them with my first.

Belly getting super hard = Braxton hicks.  My belly gets that way all the time, and it doesn't hurt, just uncomfortable cuz it gets really tight.  Just push on ur tummy when u think u might have it, it there isn't hardly any give, then ur probably having a bh contraction.  Like I said, they're not painful, just uncomfortable..
