disappointing shower

Well my sister in law informed me a few days ago that she had not planned my baby shower or even asked for the day off of work. The guests were already invited and with no time to cancel the shower in an appropriate fashion I ordered the cake and planned the shower in two days. Today was the shower and after all my hard work and planning only one person showed. Everyone else had something come up. I know it sounds bad but it was disappointing and kinda made me want to cry also it was kinda embarrassing. Its just hormones I know but hard not to feel bad.

At least I am not alone. I did all the work because I was worried about being rude and canceling 2 days before a party that most would have already bought a gift. I was raised that you can't cancel after you have someone go out of their way.lol. I guess they did not feel the same. If I had known theY would not come I could have saved myself the trouble.

Don't feel sad honey you are not alone. My aunt planned me a baby shower at the last min which was today. I told a hand full of ppl about it and not even one person showed up. I spent 90 dollars helping my aunt with this shower for no one to show but oh well what can you do. Hope things get better for you. :)
