For my first pregnancy I used flaxseed. I ate it in yogurt with oatmeal or pudding and it helped. In my case I needed extra iron so was given iron supplement and that caused me to got constipated. Maybe you can try that!!

I had the same problem when pregnant.  I now have 2 kiwis and a half of banana every morning and its the best thing I've tried.

I'm having the same problem (since taking Zofran) & I finally called my doc. She told me to use Milk of Magnesia. I'm also eating prunes, bananas, pears, as much water as I can keep down, apple juice & taking Colace. I have totally stopped the Zofran as I'd rather be sick to my stomach than constipated.

Use a fleet enema. Most of the time once your bowels get impacted like that stool softeners won't work. that's what my doctor recommended. Stay close to the bathroom though, only takes a few minutes. Good luck!
