Cramps

I am 5 weeks pregnant today and have been experiencing cramps off and on for a few weeks now without any spotting or bleeding. I haven't had an ultrasound yet to rule out an ectopic pregnancy but I'm very worried about it. How many of you have experienced mild to moderate cramping frequently this early in pregnancy or does it happen the whole time? I've always had very painful periods throughout my life so I'm wondering if this is just going to be normal for me during my pregnancy. The cramps are not constant just occasional throughout the day. This is my first pregnancy and I'm terrified of miscarriage or having an ectopic pregnancy. Advice? Thanks.

I have the same thing and I'm 5 weeks pregnant.  Usually happens when I'm sitting or laying down not moving around and it's not all the time.  Freaks me out too.   I'm so happy that everyone is saying it's normal.  My dr said the same thing to me.  Congrats:) yay for July 2015 babies.

Also my dr told me to call if the cramps were focused more on just one side because that could be a sign of an ectopic pregnancy

This is my first pregnancy as well and I had severe cramping for like 3 weeks. To the point where I would almost cry. Drs said it was all normal. Just everything moving, stretching and getting into place. I hardly get any cramps anymore and I'm almost 13 weeks. I think it stopped around 6 or 7 weeks.

I am 16 weeks now and I went through the same thing! I had really bad cramps and discomfort. I was so scared. . I still get cramps but everything is fine. It's just your uterus stretching and growing.
