Be careful eating apples if you have diarrhea, apples will keep your stool loose
When I had food poisening and was pregnant, I was told to suck ice cubes and that any water I could keep inside no matter how long helped..I had a severe headache for dsys afterwards as I was so dehydrated..never been so ill in my life..but i kept sucking ice and drinking (it was all coming up very fast tho :/ ) lookimg back i think maybe i could have done with some iv fluids etc..so if u feel you should get checked id go :)
Thanks for the feedback.
I heard dehydration can cause contractions? That is one of my worst fears.
Recently I had the stomach flu (same symptoms, though) and even 2 days after the symptoms resolved I was still extremely fatigued. I decided to see my OB because I was concerned...I'd tried to return to work that day and was sent home after an hour because I felt so terrible. My OB ordered blood work, and the results showed that my potassium was low! I had 2 options: go to hospital triage for IV fluids, or promise to stay home, rest, hydrate with pedialyte, and take the prescribed potassium supplement for 5 days. I chose the latter, and after 2 days felt 100%. My point is: don't blame extreme fatigue on "needing to recover" like I did at first...see your Dr if something doesn't seem right!
Getty some pedialite or gatorade. The rain berry flavor is the best gatorade when you're sick, not to be gross but it tastes the same when it comes up and it has the electrolytes you'll need.
Some symptoms are thirst, decreased urine output, darker urine color, fatigue, dry mouth. In a healthy adult you can typically treat mild dehydration with more water or sports drinks. More severe signs are extreme thirst, extremely dry mucus membranes, dry skin that loses it's elasticity (when you pinch into a fold it doesn't bounce back) little to no urinary output, amber or very dark concentrated urine if you can pee, decreased blood pressure and dizziness. In that case you need to be seen right away.
