Dizziness

Hello. I woke up this morning and the room was spinning, it was so awful, I tried getting up and dressed but I almost fell over. Since then I've pretty much stayed in bed but I still feel dizzy/ lightheaded. I've drank lots of water and eaten, is there anything else I can do? I'm 12 weeks.

Dizziness is common throughout pregnancy. Because of the blood being directed to the placenta, the blood getting back to mom isn't top priority any more. I had it bad until about 14 weeks. But continue drinking water in case you're dehydrated and make sure you blood sugar isn't low so eat something when you feel that way. But if it's none of those things it's just the blood flow. It stinks.

Same thing happened to me last week! It was horrible! Couldn't even shower without feeling like I was gonna fall over. Called my doc and yup, all he recommended was to drink water! So I did. But it did take about 3 days for it to fully go away. Drinking lots of water everyday now of course
