sooner rather than due date?!

I had my baby shower yesterday and everyone has said that it looks like baby has dropped(maybe explaining my constant hip pain this last week) & that i look like i am going to pop any day. Two guests said baby will be here by next weekend two others said within the next 2 weeks! I am @ 35weeks! I think they are all a little nuts(lol). This is my 3rd. Any real chance baby comes really early? Mucus plug lost about 10 days ago and this past Wednesday dr said baby is measuring big for 35 weeks

Anything is possible I'm sure, although there is no true way of knowing. My baby has dropped some and been that way for the past two weeks (I'm 36 and 3), he actually has dropped even further again as I was told at my appointment, and being 35 weeks, you've likely begun your pelvic bones spreading due to the hormone relaxin, which means more pain especially if baby is riding low, and also even cracking/popping noises. I've been hearing the "popping" sounds in my pelvis for about a week or two now. lol sometimes It's creepy to hear! It's definitely possible, especially if you lost your whole mucus plug. Look out for contractions, keep time on them, and make sure you're drinking tons of water (to stay hydrated to ward off braxton hicks as best as you can from seeming like true labor when it's not, and also I've been told that administering an IV to someone who is slightly dehydrated is actually more difficult and can be more painful to get into your veins). Good luck! Hopefully it won't be for another 2 weeks so that you're considered term.

Its always poosible. I always feel low and like baby has dropped for weeks prior to birth. Everyone likes to have their opinions and make their wagers, especially if they havent seen you in a few weeks. All bellies look low from 25 weeks to 35 weeks! Lol
that being said, with your mucus plug already lost- who knows? Maybe some of the ladies are on to something.
