Failed 1hr glucose test

Failed 1hr glucose test with 153 and feeling very depressed. Going for 4hr test tommorrow and wondering how many of you failed 1 hr and passed 4hr test?

I did. My 1st pregnancy & this time (my third). My 2nd time around I passed it tha first time. Dont be scared. Hell I didn't have gestational diabetes either time & both my babies were still 11lbs each.

I wouldn't worry too much, it's just controlled by diet. Last pregnancy I didn't do the test but followed the low GI diet anyway as it's better whilst pregnant, and better for normal everyday life too! I've made changes that developed into habits and my overall average diet has improved and I'm now passing those habits onto my kids... Can't say I've done that well eating in this new first trimester but last time I made my deadline week 20... So I'll do the same again... By week 20 I get strict with my diet!

I failed the 1 hour by a point with 140 then failed the 3 hr but each time it was only a point or two. It's really not that bad. Just have to pay more attention to what you eat. It actually makes the time go faster for me bc I'm focusing on my carb intake and not on how much time I have left. Plus I found a lot of good recipes online that I will even eat after I'm I have my baby they are that yummy

I failed the 1 hr then failed the 3 hr as well. I cried so bad. When they diagnosed me with gestational diabetes I was so scared. But its not bad if you do get the diagnosis. They just tell u to cut out sweets and eat healthier. Easy as that :) good luck to you!

My first was 176 and I passed the 3 hour but was told to watch carbs anyway

120 is normal so 153 isn't too bad...I had the complete opposite I failed with a 49...they didn't do another test now I'm just forced to eat every two hours and take my blood sugar 100 times a day...ugh 8 weeks left blah!

I failed the first with a much higher score. I did terribly! I thought for sure id fail the 3 hr test, but i didnt. My doctor says to test me again in 4 weeks just to be sure. You may not fail the next one. Try to relax.

I did just a few weeks ago and passed with flying colors on my 2nd test. Relax and bring something to do.. Lol

With my first baby I failed the first and passed the second your numbers are not that high you should pass the second
