Flying while pregnant

Hey all I'm a ftm and about to fly for the first time at 26wks. I generally fly a lot, domestically and internationally but this is my first time doing it pregnant. I'm a little nervous since I'm traveling alone. My doctor gave me the ok. Any advice for my travels? To do and not to do?

I'm 26 weeks & I travel for work so my babies been to 9 countries already. You'll be fine just drink extra water & get a isle seat so you can use the bathroom & move around.  I flew from London to Australia at 15 weeks & was fine just took me longer than normal to get over the jet lag. If it's a long haul make sure you wear compression socks. Good luckx

I'm only at 12 weeks, but just took a few long flights. Definitely drink plenty of water, but avoid the carbonated drinks. I was really surprised by the effect the jetlag had on me. I normally (when not pregnant) don't get it, but this time I was miserable for about 2 days after. The only thing I could think of that it could have been was the jetlag. So, it's probably a good idea to be sure you're getting all of the sleep you need too.

I flew at 25 and 27 weeks recently. Its not bad. Just make sure your hydrated. Also descending will make you have to go to the bathroom. Also have peppermint or ginger if there is turbulence because it will make you sick! And keep up on your prenatal because your more likely to get sick because of the reused air of someone else is sick on the flight, good luck!

Oh & you can get this nasal spray from the chemist that air hostesses use to prevent getting sick & its safe during pregnancy.  I swear by it x
