Placenta abruptions/nervous (rant)

So I had a placenta abruption with my first pregnancy and had to have an emergency c-section with in mins of getting to the hospital @ 39weeks. So this time im high risk n they told me with this pregnancy they would be closely monitoring me at the end. Im scheduled to have a c-section in 3 weeks, wouldn't you think id be scheduled for weekly appointments by now? My dr is still scheduling me for every OTHER week appointments. Im freaking out about going into labor n having another abruption. Am I over reacting?

Thanks ladies, my dr last week came in the room for 2min n said ultrasound looks good see u in 2 weeks. Like he didnt even know my chart (abruption history). Or about the c-section he scheduled. I just got this male dr wen I got pregnant(same office I went to with my first child) n I should've switched awhile ago. Im not a fan, he reads results n thats about it... I called n left a message this morning, well see what they say. :/

I would be worried too. You should ask to be on weekly.. by now you should be honestly.

They should have you on weekly appointments by now. The last four weeks of pregnancy is every week, since you are scheduled for c section in three you are in your last four weeks of pregnancy. You are not going a full 40 so they should be going by what yours will be. If the Dr is not concerned then you are probably ok, just ask them why.

I can't say what's normal since that hasn't happened to me before but if you are concerned day something to your doctor. Explain how you are worried. It can't hurt to ask and if they won't see you more frequent maybe there is a reason that can calm your fears. I know starting at 30 weeks I will be coming for weekly ultrasounds to check on the twins im carrying and their growth.
