hate local ob unit

I just always feel this place could care less. Yesterday went on a nature walk about 2-3 miles with my 3 kids. And yes stupid me was pushing a stroller up hill. Well I had severe pain, I was in tears. Lower left part of stomach into groin area hurt so bad. Pain moved to my back and made me throw up. I am 10.5 weeks pregnant and the nurses only told me to sit and relax and drink plenty of water.
Darn thing hurts today but not near as bad. I feel they could of done something, but their answer even during my other pregnancies was always relax and drink a couple glasses of water.

Sadly there really isn't anything else they can tell you to do or do for you...

It's a terrible to feel like you're not being listened to. I'm so sorry you're dealing with this. This is why I'm going with a midwife with an ob backup. I feel like a midwife would at least take the time to explain what's going on.

I hate to say it but they were both correct. At 10 weeks heavy weight isn't going to harm you or baby and most of the time that early in pregnancy women don't drink as much as they should. Dehydration is the leading cause for muscle pains and abdominal cramps. As far as swollen feet it is a normal part of pregnancy. Your body is producing more fluids than it normally would and if you are standing/walking gravity is going to cause excess to go to your feet. The only thing you can really do is make aire you limit your salt intake (with regards to hydration as well, you do need some) and when you get home prop your feet up for a while.
