Fell in shower last night. .

So out of nowhere last night I blacked out in the shower and fell and hit my head and left side of my belly. I went and got checked rt away thank god my baby girl and I are fine. But this morning I feel like I've been hit by a truck and my tummy is so tender on the left side :( Calling doctor just to see what he says about my tummy that's the only thing I'm worried about..

I would get really light headed and nauseous in the shower when it was too hot when I was pregnant with my first. It sucked but I just took Luke warm showers and it helped a lot. Also this may be tmi but it was worse if I had to poop.

I can usually feel it coming on to but this time I wasn't so lucky. I'm just so glad my baby is ok.

When I was pregnant with my 3rd daughter,  I blacked out in Subway one day and it scared the crap out of my other 2 girls age 3 and 7. My OB said my blood sugar dropped. I haven't had it happen again since, but when I feel that it's coming on, I lay on my left side until the feeling passes.  Glad you and your LO are okay.

I had a friend who would just pass out during pregnancy,  and they could never find a reason.  She usually could feel them coming on so she'd say something and we would help her to the floor. It was crazy!

Im diagnosed with syncope spells. They always say blood circulation and sugar levels. With pregnancy we get a 30 to 50% increase on blood volume. So the last time i had a spell while pregnant I was instructed to change positions slowly and sit to stand especially slow. Hope this helps.

My sugar and blood pressure have been great my whole pregnancy I just get random dizzy spells but this was just a straight up black out so I have no clue. L&D said all was well all ND my doctor said this morning just to take it easy next few days and I hv an appointment next week. I'm 32 weeks today so I just wanted to make sure I didn't go into labor since she's head down already.

Your blood pressure could have dropped. Pregnancy tends to decrease our blood pressure due to the increase in blood volume. When you take a hot shower it opens up the blood vessels even more,  causing BP to drop which can cause a black out. Making sure you're hydrated will help preventv that, also increasi g your sodium intake.Certainly check in with your doc again, and ask him to check your BP and also your blood sugar, as low blood sugar  can also cause loss of consciousness. However with that it would have had to be pretty low and typically you would need to get something sugary in you to bring it back up. I'd definitely recommend going to your doc and figuring it all out to prevent future mishaps. Good luck

I didn't have a black out but I did fall down the stairs hit all my left side and felt like I been hit by a bus the next day. All was fine but I went to a chiropractor as I twisted my pelvis but she sorted it out. I'm 40+1 and all is fine. Don't panic too much but I would see about the blackout you don't really want it happening again.
