Cold before giving birth

I have a pretty bad cold right now. Is this common before giving birth? If so, how long until actually going into labor?

I don't think having a cold has anything to do with it being a sign of going into labor since colds r caused by a virus.

No its not.  A cold is a virus that you catch and had nothing to do with labor mama.
