Husband in surgery

I'm 23 weeks pregnant, and my husband just went in for surgery this morning for a fully torn rotator cuff, bone spurs and possible bicep tear.  I was totally comfortable with him having this surgery since he had a similar one a few years ago on his other shoulder.  About 45 minutes into his surgery, I find out that there's been a water main break in the area, and they are postponing peoples surgeries left and right.  Starting to get nervous now.  My husband is under the knife and all they can tell me right now is "There should be enough water reserve for those already in surgery." Should be??  Ugh!

He came through well.  He was the last person to go in for surgery at the surgery center and we were the last people to leave (they closed it down for the day when they finished his surgery).  By the time he was in recovery, there was no running water in the building, and no working toilets.  I sat there with him, with our darling baby girl bouncing on my bladder, for 2 hours before the water was turned back on.  What a day!  Thanks for the well wishes.

They continue the surgeries cause they think it's safe. Hospitals usually have pretty good back up supplies for these kinds of situations. Try to do something to keep your mind off it while he's in there ;)
