I hate this

I don't know what to do anymore, my blood sugar is getting too high, and I'm stressing out about it, the doctors increase my insulin but is not helping, I've been crying and I don't even want to eat anymore so it won't get higher :((((

Stress will make your sugars go up. So as hard as it is to do I know I have GD as well you have to relax and try not to stress about it. When you find yourself stressing do something that relaxes you.  Take a walk, lay down,  do the laundry I know sounds crazy but it gets your mind off of it. Also make sure you are having protein with every meal and snack like cheese or nuts or actual meats it slows down the break down of the sugar from carbs and gives your body a more steady rise and fall instead of spikes and drops. Hope this helps good luck

I would go based on what your doctor says and not the WIC dietitian. .. if you didnt have diabetes before being pregnant than its GD.... the wic dietitians dont know your full history

The thing is that my breakfast is at 11.30, I don't wake up early, but I'm talking to my dietician on Monday cause this week she wasn't there, I eat fruit, and Greek yogurt, I'm good with the snacks but is just hard for me to eat a heavy meal

Getting frustrated will make you feel worst someone suggested you talk to a dietician that helps too. I eat breakfast at 8am crackers at 10. Lunch at 12 a  fruit at 2. Half a sandwich at 5 and dinner between 7-9.  Another snack at 11 if needed.  My Am reading is at 90-110 and my pm reading is at 100-105. And I am feeling great baby is growing and I feel controlled.  Doctor said good job and I felt like a kid.

I am battling the same issue but for the last three weeks I have been doing well.  I take Novolin N and Novolin R. I found that the issue was more food than the dosage.  As the pregnancy progresses the doctor told me I may require more but i have been balancing good on 20 n and 10 r in the am and 12 and 12 at night. Yogurt and fruit juices were running me high but the doctor taught me to gauge based on my fasting results to either increase or decrease my dosage by 10% my snacks have been fruits like bananas oranges and apples and saltine crackers. It's hard at first but once you get into it you will be fine.

I drink them...i drink one full glass of water with 2 tsps of chia about 10 minutes before each meal...what that does is form a gel in the intestines and does let the sugar fall all at the same time it takes more time and distributes it slower

Why are you just on insulin have them try other meds. I did much better when they put me on metformin and glyburide than I did on insulin. Tell them you want to try other meds maybe this is not a good fit for you. Drink only water and protein protein protein. I have Gd with all 4 babies.

The pills was what i was on first before i was pregnant i don't know why they don't want us to take the pills. I would talk to the main doctor too. You don't have another hospital to go to. I live in the city and I can think of 4 high risk so that's why I was able to switch.  I hope and pray it works out because it can be stressful and I don't want that for you and your baby. Good luck

Yeah I wanna change too, but the thing is that since I'm in a high risk clinic, and there's one doctor, which he's the main doctor and all the other doctors report to him, and he only goes for a couple of hours on Monday, and this lady that is seeing me, she's the one that is suggesting me takin a lot of insulin and is actually higher now that I'm taking it than before, I don't like her, but some Monday she's there by herself

Also you might need another doctor.  I had to switch because the first one wanted me to take a lot of insulin that would have me bottom out and low blood sugar can be as bad as high blood sugar

You might need a long lasting insulin at might that works doing the day also. I take Novolin  and i don't need anything else and i eat what i want. Everyone is different but you may benefit from a long lasting insulin good luck
