husband might be seriously ill or worse
Im scared out of my mind! Im (22weeks) pregnant with our 3rd baby and I'm on my way to the ER. My husband just informed me that he has been having trouble breathing and he thinks it was from eating raw poke greens or poke weeds 2 WEEKS AGO. I'm so mad he didnt tell me before. People die from that stuff! Anyone know anyone thats been sick from this? He's so secretive about any illness he has

What did you find out in the hospital?
He said it feels like he swallowed acid
Omg he ate them out the ground raw... He shouldnt of did that :-( He is be ok though because if it was something really bad he would of had a really bad reaction
It is treatable
He told me he's had this since he ate them and its gotten worse every day. He only said something cuz its gotten to were he can't take it anymore.
Would he still be having a reaction after 2 weeks? He could be having an issue for other reasons. It's good you're going to the hospital. I'm not sure what you think he's hiding though. Try to stay calm and try not to worry too much before you know what's going on. (I know, easier said than done).
Usually it doesn't take two weeks for the symptoms to appear, it is probably something else

Wow sorry to hear that. I have to look up more information about it because I've never heard of them. I pray he is OK and will get better.
Thats just it. He ate them raw out of the field
Its like lettuce that grows wild. If u eat them without boiling them u can die because they are toxic
I dont think it was the weeds I just looked them up you can eat those, if they are cooked really well. I think he may have some other issue maybe breath fumes or something
I have never heard of those. I pray that he is okay!!
