Focus on the blessing in your belly, not the judgement of others. Keep God first,  and enjoy the process of the lives being created. Make your future step-kids a part. Maybe they can help preparing the nursery (painting letters or hanging pictures). I am expecting my first born and I also have 5 stepchildren :)

From a technical perspective, it's critical to determine chorionicity and amnionicity. In other words, 2 placentas or 1.  And 2 sacs or 1. As far as least risky, hope for dichorionic (2 placentas). I have seen too many monochorionic twins develop TTTS (twin to twin transfusion syndrome).
