I think if you go to ur doctors appoinment & check your urine I think it will pop up either way that you smoked im not sure but either way your doctor isint goin to say nothing but be all up on your assss till you giv birth & thats when they'll test you & your baby to see if you still have weed in your system. Just don't smoke anymore…. Iknow you can quit. (: I was a heavy pot smoker before I was preggo & I only did it two times in my pregnancy. (16w+4d Now) Definitely Regret it but hopefully my baby is ok & healthy. I have faith in myself that he is thanks to My god. But yea just stop now sweety so your baby wont have Weed in his system when he or she is born.. Goodluck (:
Some Dr. Drug test each visit. It depends on the insurance , and the dr. I have personally never been drug tested as far as I know. I live in California. But I have a friend who does get drug testing every visit. She also lives in California. I would be up front about it and stop smoking all together. Ask for something to be prescribed to you for headaches if they are bad. I use excedrin for my headaches because Tylenol doesn't do anything for me. But you have to be careful about spiking pot. Babies get taken into child protection for testing positive at birth.
They sure can test you without permission. I know mine did..i used to smoke everyday 24/7 until i saw a positive in my pregnancy test. When i went to the Dr.s office the following week they took my urine and a blood sample. Sure enough when i saw her the next appointment she brought it to my attention that my drug screen came out positive (took me by surprise) but i wasnt worried since i knew i quit when i found out. & that's what i told her. She stressed how harmful it was but to each its own. Talk to your doctor, maybe he can prescribe you something.
Yes the doc can test for drugs. I work for Child Protective Services and the report for neglect will be made by the doctor once the baby is born. The majority of our cases are for mothers that tested positive DURING their pregnancy, not necessarily at the time of the baby's birth. Hope that info helps some. (I live in Texas btw)
If you rarely smoke and haven't in a long while it could be out of your system in about 2 weeks. It depends on metabolism. Oh, you could also call your doctor(or ask someone else to) anonymously and ask what they test for when they do urine tests at ob appointments.
My doctor's office doesn't but the hospital does when you go into labor and your baby could be taken away and/or charges pressed against you (depending on what your state laws are) if you're not clean. I use to smoke weed recreationally before I got pregnant, but I stopped the moment I found out. It's not worth the potential harm to your baby.
It depends on the state and the office. Mine doesn't test for drugs at every appointment. I would try and refrain from it. And just let your doctor know what's going on.
she's right, they don't test for drugs until you give birth. I understand what you're going through but as someone who smoked on a daily basis for 6 years before getting pregnant please believe me that it can be given up! I get awful headaches too but I thank God that my guilty conscious and strong will keeps me sober now no matter what. you're baby needs a healthy start and chance. mj will always be there. pregnancy only lasts for 9 months... good luck mama, no judgement ever!
You will test positive up until a month after you've smoked it, so like novembermommy1104 said, you should be upfront with your doctor about it.
I know in the state of MD they test without your consent.
They don't usually test for drugs. Only if there's cause for concern. I've smoked a handful of times during this and my previous pregnancy. It helps me a lot with dehydration, sleep (which I never get cause I'm so uncomfortable) and even keeping my mood and attitude up.
The only country where there's even been a study on marijuana use during pregnancy is Jamaica (go figure). And no adverse effects were found. Just keep it to a minimal, last resorts only.
Depends on your state. I saw a news segment a few weeks ago that said some states are implementing automatic drug testing for every pregnant woman. Depends on where you are.

Yes they test at Dr appointments too.
I don't think they test you for drugs each appointment. Your urine sample is for protein and infection. But they do test at birth I believe. I'd be honest and up front with your doctor , but that's just me
