Maybe a false positive.... maybe not!

I just got a positive pregnancy test result. I really want to be excited, but I don't wanna get my hopes up over a possible false positive. I had a miscarriage last month & had to have a MVA (similar to a D&C) on March 5th. So I don't know if I'm actually pregnant, or if the test is reading hcg levels from the previous pregnancy. Even if I take another test  & get the same result, it could still be a false positive. I don't have a clue on what to do right now.

Go to the doctor and request a blood test and an ultrasound... its the only way to know if you got a false positive or if you are really pregnant... because you just had a miscarriage not that long ago, it is possible that you still have HcG levels that an hpt would detect

I was 6 weeks when I had my d&c. I have a feeling it may be a false positive.

At my follow appointment they didn't take a urine or blood sample.... no tests whatsoever. I wish they would have, so I wouldn't be so confused right now.

I was still getting positive tests 8 weeks after my D&C. It took forever for my levels to get back to normal. All women are different. If you lost the pregnancy early on than there's a good chance your levels have gone to a 0 and this is a new pregnancy :) I'd go get a blood test!

Didn't they follow up with you to make sure your hcg levels go back to the negatives?... Never know.  I'm think there's a baby. One way to find out. Blood test...
