Primrose Oil.

I keep seeing posts about primrose oil, but have no idea what it is or what it does.. someone fill me in?

Def messy though. Wear a pad.  I took a capsule orally in the morning and then vaginally at night, right before bed

I used it.I started at 36 weeks because my cervix was hard. Went in about to weeks later and I was 80% effaced and 3 cm dialated.I didn't even tear when I delivered because I did a pernial message with it haha:)

Its awesome! I started at 37 weeks every night and went to midwife the next week. Already softened cervix and dialation has begun. All of my friends loved it. This is my fourth pregnancy but first time using it. Just wear a thin pad at night :)

They are oil capsules that you insert to help soften your cervix. You can start at 36 weeks. Its supposed to work over time, and make labor go more smoothly. You insert at bedtime and place a towel under you. (Apparently it gets messy.) My doctor said it is safe and that it doesnt work all of a sudden.
