As long as you are eating and not depriving yourself of any thing I wouldn't worry too much. Talk to your doctor about your concern and find out if this is a concern for him as well, you can also ask him if there's any tips he can give you. But I have to agree if you were above average in, weight to begin with you shouldn't be too concerned about not gaining a whole lot. Good luck!!
Just like they said, I wouldn't worry. My first preg I gained 40 my second gained 80 and I just had my 3rd I only gained 20 they are all different and as long as baby is healthy you are fine.
I was 185 and now weigh about 190. I'm tall but still got some extra weight. Just wanted to make sure this is ok.now I feel better. And thank u both for easing my fears
I wouldn't worry about it very much.
I had a hard time gaining weight with my second. At about 20 weeks with my first I already gained like 15lbs. He ended up being 9lbs3ozs With my second I didn't gain anything by that time. I was losing weight at first.
Ultrasounds can be quite off on things as well. They did 2 ultrasounds where my baby's belly measured much smaller than the rest of her body. Went for a 3rd one and she was totally fine.
She did come out pretty skinny and was 7lbs 9ozs but let me tell ya, she gained a lot of chub in her first 6 weeks!!
What was your pre preg weight? If you were a little over weight that could be why. My second son I only gained 13lbs and he came out 7lbs and 140z, but I was a little over weight when I got pregnant
