I was given 3 days but I recommend you find out from the department that handles the names at the hospital you are delivering at, you should get a straight answer from them. Best wishes!
Not at all ridiculous.
My cousin and his wife still didn't have a name for their daughter 2 days after she was born. They finally gave her a name right before they were discharged.
Difference, not conference. :P
Thank you for the positive replies! I feel like everyone around me expects us to pick a name soon... and I'm just not decided. I'm happy to hear others waited. @love_my_4, I was curious how long I could wait to sign any paperwork with her name. Good to know. I was going to ask my next appt just to check. I agree that having time to see their personalities, just a little, makes a conference - to us anyway. :)
No it's not ridiculous! My husband and I were unsure what to name our daughter. My daughter actually came out from the hospital with no name, administration gave me 3 days to go back and register the name. We loved that we were able to bond with get before we gave her a name. I'm expecting in October and we will be doing it again.
That's not silly atcall that is wonderful :-) good for you so few ppl name baby after they are born anymore I feel like. My mil and fil named my husband 3 days after he was born :-)
I'm clueless on the name. Your not alone. And I agree, some kids don't match their name. I think it's a great idea
I have a friend who has waited until all of her kids are born before she even starts thinking of names for them. She said she likes to meet them first :-).
I think you are very right! We've narrowed it down, but I just feel like some names don't fit, should she have certain traits. I won't be waiting days... just maybe until the next day when things start looking normal. :P
No, not ridiculous. Actually a lot of people are doing this. You'll know her name when you lay your eyes on her. It's funny how that works, but I'm sure it'll be a beautiful name :]
