severe pelvic pain.

I have mentioned it to dr. Explaining that my pelvis hurts so bad I can hardly walk(need assistance). But he said it was normal and that maybe i should be more active...However i am a professional hair stylist so I'm always moving walking, climbing stairs etc. And it seems the more I move the more pain I'm in the only relief I get is when I lay down. There is no way this is normal! Has anyone else had this issue? What did you do?

There are special belts you can use to help relieve the pain. I use one for SPD pain, helps tremendously. You can find it on Amazon

Yes it is normal. It's ur bones moving in prep for delivery. It can be very painful. Rest n swimming in a pool can ease the pain but ir will continue til u have ur baby

Yes, unfortunately it can be normal. I experienced this with my last pregnancy and am having it off and on with this one. It's a couple of things... first it's round ligament pain, from the stretching that's going on in order to accommodate baby. Second, it's from the relaxin your body is producing to allow the stretching. It doesn't just affect the ligaments in your abdomen. It affects all of them. So all the joints in your spine and hips and S.I. joints. They're the ones even with the level your hip bones, but closer to your spine on either side. Combine those things, and it can be excruciating to stand and walk. I found wearing a maternity belt helps quite a bit. And some pain medications are pretty safe during pregnancy. Ask your doctor for some if the belt/band doesn't help enough. Good luck, I understand!
