Omgosh! !!!

I'm at my doctors appointment and so far I've gained 24 pounds in the 6 months of my pregnancy.  Please tell me I'm not the only one gaining a ton of weight. I have a lot to lose after this little girl arrives I'm just hoping it's not going to be difficult.

I'm 36+4 and have gained 26. My doctor has been really hard on me about it too even though my BMI was normal pre pregnancy. We had an ultrasound yesterday and she told us she looks about 7 lbs already and "had a big head" I'm just ready to have her.

I'm 27 weeks today and have only gained 15 lbs. My Dr told me at my last appt to eat more but I'm just not hungry. I also think it's due to my job; I'm a massage therapist so I'm constantly moving throughout the day.

I've been concerned about the same thing. I'm 15 weeks and have gained 13 pounds.

Will you be breast feeding? Breast feeding will help take the weight off quicker.

I was a large lady before. I have only gained 5 in 22 weeks. My doctor say no more than 10. Everyones different. If you doctor is concerned then it's time to slow the gain. Make sure to take walks after meals. Try to stay active.
@Lauren87 yes if you breast feed exclusively you do shed pounds. It's cause you are still burning calories.

Im a little over 26 weeks and gained 21lbs already.

@Chefswife I dont see why your doctor would be hard on you about 26lbs. I've heard ideal healthy weight gain is 25-35 throughout pregnancy.

I gained 60 pounds by the end of my pregnancy. By the time I left the hospital (2 days after giving birth) I had already lost 25 pounds. My baby is 3 months and I have been breast feeding and haven't exercised or been dieting and I only have about 15 pounds to go until I am at pre baby weight. So its not too bad trying to lose it!

I'm.35 weeks and have gained just about that in pounds lol, like 31lbs. I'm not complaining, the only place it went besides my belly is my boobs and butt, yay!! And my stomach is hard as a rock. Every one thinks I'm lying when I tell them how much I've gained. I was only 115lbs at 7 weeks and 5ft 4in tall. I plan to keep 10lbs on actually. Don't stress , your not alone, as long as your heathy baby is healthy. Just know that you have work to do afterwards if you choose!!
