Opinions Please!

My partner has been deployed for two months now. Before he left I asked if he cared if I found out the sex of the baby while he was away. He said he didn't mind, but I feel like he was just saying that. I have been thinking and I don't know what I should do. Should I wait until he gets back, which is an undetermined amount of time, or should I find out the sex? I miss him more than words, but since he was not given a date of return and has yet been able to contact me, I don't know what I should do. Opinions please!

I know exactly how you feel my husband shipped out on Aug 28th to basic training and ait and we discussed it and he said he don't mind if I find outwear it is and when he comes home for leave on Christmas I have decided that his Christmas present will be a picture revealing the sex of the baby

If you can time your appt. Right and have Skype on your phone maybe you can video chat with him while having the ultrasound so he can "be" there too :)

I would definitely share that experience with him. Especially if it's your first together. Being deployed can really suck when you have to miss such huge moments. If you can have it sealed in an envelope and mail it to him or if you have an email address for him see if the Dr or ultra sound tech will email him the sex or the pictures. Good luck.
