Monosomy X means only 1 sex chromosome. Also called Turner syndrome (45X). Normal female is 45XX.
Sorry, I just googled and it's affects the sex chromosome in girls. I'm having a boy, they normally have one x, one y, but the DNA blood test said there's an extra X chromosome.
Is that the extra X sex chromosome in males, also known as Klinefelters syndrome? I had the "Harmony" DNA blood test at 12 weeks that came back at over 99% positive for the extra X chromosome. I had to wait til 16 weeks for the amnio and that came back negative. My regular Ob doctor said he's never seen this as both tests are incredible accurate. I'm 22 weeks now and will have to wait til baby is born to get a definite answer.
