9 weeks is extremely early to hear a heartbeat on a Doppler! Most say it's not a guarantee until about 13 weeks depending on where the placenta is and if you have a tilted uterus it may even be a little later. I'm sure if you're not having any symptoms of miscarriage then your lo is just fine
Thanks!! I am just worried because some times I feel pregnant and some times I don't. I am use to feeling sick all the time and tired during the 1st trimester but I guess each pregnancy is different.
They couldn't find one that early with mine either but then since my doc couldn't they sent me for an emergency ultrasound to confirm everything. .
9weeks is pretty early. I suggest you go get a ultrasound done for piece of mind.
My next appointment for an ultrasound is in 3 weeks which is going to seem like forever. Until then I will try not to worry as much and stay positive.
I was 10+3 with my first and they couldn't find with the doppler so they did an ultrasound to ease my mind since it was my first and he was perfect!! He's now almost 7. They say 12 weeks with the doppler is more the normal range to be able to hear the heartbeat.
Thank you all for the feedback.
Yes! Same thing for us! In fact we went in first at 10 weeks no heartbeat could be heard so they said to come back at 12 weeks for another go. Still no heartbeat was heard... I was scared! But then they took us to the ultrasound room and we got to see and hear him!!! It was awesome! She said it was because I had a retroverted uterus.
And I too had very little pregnancy symptoms.
Thank you for this information. I feel a little better now :-).
I didn't hear the heart beat with a doppler until 17 weeks because my placenta is in.the front :/
I was at 13 weeks before we could hear Little Bit with the doppler. Try not to worry! It'll be so exciting when you do hear it!
9 weeks is well too early and any good doctor wouldn't worry u like that. Dont worry and stay positive, a few weeks to wait isn't much in the grand scheme of a 40 week pregnancy. Good luck
I was at 12 weeks when i first heard the heartbeat through doppler. The baby needs to be a bit larger than 9 weeks
When I first went in the doc didn't even bother to listen for a hb he said it was too early to hear anything I didn't hear until I was 12 wks and I got an ultrasound as well around that time
Both my sister and i are pregnant. I had such strong symptoms and she had hardly any. Try not to base it off of that fact. Keep us updated!
Thanks everyone! The nurse called me yesterday and said my HCG levels are right were they should be so that made me feel a lot better. I will let you guys know in 3 weeks when I get my ultrasound. My husband and I are so excited.
Yes they did me the same way but I was 9 weeks.I am now 7 months now and she is fine
