Preclampsia- delivering premature?

Each appt my dr has been expressing the babys chances to live outside the womb and im starting to feel like he doesnt think I'll make it to 38 weeks before developing preclampsia. Im wondering if anyone had to deliver premature due to preclampsia and also if you had to get a csection...my dr is very busy these days due to taking on another drs patients and I just havent had the one on one time that I need lately. I know if I sat down and started with questions he'd give me all the time in the world but I feel quilty bc I know he's so busy and exhausted.... what signs should I be looking for to be concerned? Swelling, fever, jump in bp??

Thank you for your response. So glad to hear you all had healthy babies. Although any time spent in Nicu scares me. But again thank you!

Sorry about the double post. My phone is doing weird stuff. I had swelling in my legs and feet that didnt really go away with rest. that night i just had literally the worst headache ever. Couldnt take it anymore and when checked at hospital bp was 220/180.

I was 29 weeks when I developed preclampsia.  I was admitted to l&d and put on a magnesium drip.  Unfortunately they could not control my bp and had to perform an emergency csection.  Thank god I had a healthy boy 3lb 7oz.  He stayed in the NICU for 54 days before coming home.  Today he is 5 and you would never know that he was born 12 weeks early.  Hope this helps. Good luck and trust in god!

I had it but only had to deliver 5 days before my due date with my first son.  My bp was very high, swelling, headaches.  I was on strict at home bedrest so I was able to make it.  Mine started with my bp.  If u really take care of yourself and rest sometimes early delivery isn't necessary.  But of couse always listen to your dr. Good luck.

I was going to be induced at 35 weeks due to preclamp. I was preggo with twins and gained 10 pounds in one week and my ankles were extremly swollen. Sadly I only made it to 34 weeks. I did not have a c section I was to scared. My little girl came out fine weighing 5pnds 11 oz my son was born after and was delivered breech he weigher 5pnd 7 oz . He has breathing problems and was in nicu for about two weeks. My daughter was aloud to come home a day after delivery. I feel if I would have got the c section my son wouldnt have had to stay in nicu.  How many weeks are you?
