castor oil?!?

Hey ladies so I was wondering if anyone have ever tried Castor oil to induce labor? If so what was your experience and is it safe for the baby and I? Or should I speak with my doctor first before taking it.. I want to start up my labor and heard many things that are suppose to help start it up.. Anyone have any suggestions to what to take?

Red raspberry leaf tea but from what I read it just tones up your uterus. Some say it comes in tea or capsule form.

That's what I am afraid of.. I've read about the side effects and scared I won't go into labor.. I am beyond uncomfortable and ready to see my baby girl.. I am going to try pineapple and I started squats, walking but I honestly don't feel to have intercourse lol thanks  :-) I've never heard of raspberry tea.. Is it any specific one?

Oh and Idid hhave issue with baby not moving regularly and his heartrate being lower than normal spent 7 hrs on monitor and being loaded with juice and soda til he was back to normal. Don't know if it was the castor oil but it was 1st time that happened and hasn't since either so I think it may have been.

I tried it a week ago I ended up with strong and painful contractions for over 17hrs but no baby and no progress. Even my doctor can't believe it. I know a lot of women who say it brought on stronger more painful contractions fast for them and they had their babies within hours. My friend just tried it in December at 37 weeks and was only 2cm and 50% effaced and it worked. I was 37 weeks 3cm and 60% effaced and it didn't so I guess it really just depends on you and your body. They say it doesn't harm baby and the worse it can do for you is give you diarrhea some nausea and vomiting and painful contractions whether it sends you into labor or not. Thankfully I only got contractions no diarrhea nausea or vomiting.

I haven't tried it but I'm 41 weeks and 1 day and that is something I absolutely *won't* try.  I've heard horror stories. Lol
