Premature labor

Hello, I had my first pregnancy last year in May my son was born at 23 weeks he was only 23 weeks for thirty minutes he did not make it, now I am pregnant again with my second baby and its a girl and I am currently 24 weeks and 2 days and I had the cerclarge placed in at 13 weeks and I had a doctors appt at 24 weeks and they noticed that in two weeks my cervix length went from 3.6 to 1.2 and now I'm at the hospital on bed rest I also took the ffn test it came out negative and I'm hoping the doctor doesn't discharge me anytime soon because I'm scarred if I get discharged something will happen, also if I were to get discharged were I live isn't exactly helpful and I would be discharged at full bed rest and I have no one there to help me so have any of you guys been through abd how long did u stay at hospital, also I have no contractions or nothing like that at this time

Ask your nurse for a social worker my mom used to work at a hospital as one they are kinda like special nurses that work on helping patients get extra help that they need so you can stay healthy once youre out of the hospital maybe they can figure out a way to let you stay longer or set up a nurse for you hope this helps

Can you say you are not feeling well enough to go home? Talk to your doctor and say everything you told us....maybe he will be supportiv and leave you there for another week...

I do not believe my insurance would cover a nurse since I have Ahccs and I just heard from doc that I might go home Monday but I am terrified because of how short my cervix is and i don't want to go home and something happen I just feel so nervous I would much rather stay here

Oh my! I feel for you. I have as well gone through labour early and am so scared it's gonna happen again. All I can say is take it one day at a time. My OB told me something that really stuck. It's not a 40 week pregnancy, it's just a pregnancy. We'll start at 24 weeks, the accepted point of viability then we'll get to 25, 26, 27 and so on. Just keep going and remember every day without labor is a good day.

Would your insurance cover a nurse? Might be worth talking to your Dr. about.
