how can I avoid morning sickness?

Hello ladies, am 5 weeks and super worried about throwing up.. This is my first and my emotions are all the place. How do I prevent morning sickness or at least minimize it when it starts? Is it possible for one not to throw up at all when expecting?? Thanks in advance..

I wasn't saying it to gloat lol Just thought maybe you wouldn't either. In some ways I wanted it bc it would make me less worried....Some days I don't feel pregnant.

Some people get it, some don't. Some have it all pregnancy. Usually if your mom n grandma had it, you might too. Ginger candy, ginger ale, crackers by the bedside and eating small meals are helpful...unfortunately if your going to get it, there's no way to make it stop completely. I have it so severely I'm on medications. If you start losing a lot of weight, get a high fever or can't keep ANYTHING down see your doctor. The meds really help. But if you haven't been sick at all yet, just thank your lucky stars lol. It's no fun.
