HI MOMMIES WELL IT LOOKS LIKE I AM ON BED REST DUE TO MY SHORT CERVIX SO SINCE MY LAST SCAN MY DOC PRESCRIBED PROGESTERONE 200MG EVERY NITE BEFORE BED. TODAY I HAD ANOTHER SCAN AND DETECTED THAT MY CERVIX WENT FROM 3.6CM TO 3CM SO HE IS NOW CONCERNED CAUSE THE CHANGE HAPPEN IN 10 DAYS SO HE SAID I MIGHT HAVE TO HAVE THE CERCLAGE PLACEMENT. ANY MOMMIES BEEN THROUGH THIS BEFORE IF SO PLS BE FREE TO SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS AND EXPERIENCES OH AND I AM 20 WKS AS OF TODAY..

Im 28 weeks been on bed rest for about a week now due to my short cervix. I go back to the Dr. on wed. Hopefully i hear some good news. Ive been taking progesterone also. I had to stop working and going to school =(...Do that stuff really work?

I have what they call an incompetent cervix,  which puts me at high risk for preterm labor or late miscarriage.  Unfortunately,  with this condition a woman loses 1 or more pregnancies before its determined thats what's wrong with her. I lost my 1st baby at 22 wks pregnant,  my cervix dilated or gave way due to it being too weak to sustain the preg. I delivered a baby boy just over a pound, the doc told me if I would've delivered a wk or so later the baby may lived :( I became pregnant  a year later and had a cerclage put in at 16 wks & on strict bed rest. My doc removed the cerclage at 37 wks and I went into labor the next day & delivered a 6 lb 5.8 oz baby girl! I went on over the next decade to have 2 more miscarriages, both during the 1st trimester. Here I am again 13 yrs after the birth of my daughter 28 wks preg baby girl #2! This time my doc put in the cerclage at 14 wks, so far no bed rest & still working! So do what you gotta do and good luck!

Hey, I was on progesterone 200mg since 27 weeks as my cervix was only measuring .8cm. I was pit onto bedrest, but have good news for you. I am now 36+6, stopped taking my progesterone at 35 weeks and my cervix got down to .5 cm. I am no longer on bedrest and am awaiting the arrival of my little girl. There is every chance that you will go to full term. Good luck

Hope it goes well for you. I hvnt personally been through it my self but I would suggest keep doin regular check up with the doctor and monitor everything.  Hope it gets bk to normal
