Sac no baby ?

So I found out about 2weeks ago that I'm pregnant. I went today for my first ultra sound thinking I'm about 7.5 weeks along. Mind you I had a miscarriage a little over a year ago. They did a vaginal u/s and only saw a sac and yolk. I don't have any bleeding. Just slight occasional cramping. Am I miscarrying or is it really possible that I'm only 5/6 weeks pregnant even though I got my positive two weeks ago already. I just really hope this baby is actually coming. I don't know if I can handle a second miscarriage.

I had one of these types of miscarriages, its called a blighted ovum and with this pregnancy I had a threatened miscarriage where I bleed brown blood from week 6-8 and I was horrified that I would miscarry but with lots of prayer and hope I am now 34 weeks and everything is well. Go see your midwife asap and let her check it out before you panic. Good luck..

That makes me feel better. I'm trying to stay hopeful. The whole waiting game just makes me crazy. It's good to hear that this isn't necessarily a bad thing. Thanks guys !

Just hang on girl!!! You are probably just too early to see the baby! I went through that with my first but the er Dr told me I was having a miscarriage and wanted to send me for a d&c. The following Monday I went to a gyno and I was then 6wks and 3days and there was my little baby and his heartbeat. So just make sure you wait some weeks to make sure.

Not exactly, cause the baby's heart was beating and everything, but my hcg levels were low, so they did blood test, again in two days, and everything was fine, but I told them I was spotting so I could see if everything was fine with the baby when I found out I was pregnant last year

Do like I did last year, I went to the er and they did a blood work that day, and my hcg were low but they did another one in two days and it was fine, tell them you were spotting, and they'll do it right away

If you'd progesterone levels are low, below 20 ask them for vaginal progesterone. I see this helped a lot of women before,  good luck and keep us posted

Yes for reassurance you can always ask them to mail you a blood form.  Let them check your levels both progesterone and hcg. And repeat in 2 days.  This will give you a good indication and also ease your mind. By the time your scan comes hopefully you will see a heartbeat!

I've got another u/s scheduled for september 8. But I didn't get any blood work done today. I feel like the doctor kinda rushed me out today. But I'm hoping it's because she doesn't see a reason to be concerned. But I'm def gonna request blood work so we can keep up with my levels when I go back.

It is possible. I've seen other women on here before that thought they were further along than they were. The only way to tell is more blood work or another scan in a few weeks.

I would request blood work and another ultra sound at a later date.
