I agree that it depends on your body. The longest I waited was 3 weeks with any of mine. With 2 of those, I had stitches. That also explains why 2 of my kiddos are only 11 months apart. Haha
They recommend 6 weeks just so everything has been checked. If your stitches are all healed and you've stopped bleeding it should be ok (although I stopped bleeding for a few days at 3 weeks then started up again for another 2 weeks... A day or 2 of no blood may not necessarily mean you've completely stopped). Honestly it's really not dangerous if you've healed up. You know your body better than a textbook and if you feel ready to do it, go ahead! I can't imagine being ready by 3, but I tore both times, and I waited til 8 for first and 7 for second... And both times wished I'd waited another week! My sister did it at 3 and said it was fine but she was still very 'loose'.
I waited 6 weeks. I also had stitches and even after waiting that long it was still painful and not that enjoyable for me. I would wait the 6 weeks like recommended but you know your body and feel likeits worth it then do it.
I have always waited at least the 6 weeks mainly coz i was always told by doctors that we are super fertile after having a baby within that time frame so even with contrception personally i was still afraid to risk it so i waited
It prob all depends on how you feel but I am with these others lol I would wait til the 6 week check up... I am pregna t with my 4th and each time with the others even waiting the 6 weeks it was pretty painful... just be careful!
I had sex after 4 weeks. However, I ended up having a c-section.
I think it will be worth the wait. I know we're anxious to experience sex with our Old bodies back but there will be lots of time for that after your 6 wk check up.
After I had my son I tried too soon but had to stop because it was unexpectedly painful and bled a little after. My bf at the time was like.. um no. Let not lol
I didn't wait the 6 weeks, I waited 3 weeks, I had stitches too. I think you know your body. If anything feels like it's not back to normal definitely wait and if you do try if anything hurts then stop.
It's best to have your six weeks check up first to make sure everything is ok. Remember your body had just went through alot.
I've always heard 6 weeks, just so your body has enough time to heal from the shock of child birth. :)
