Spotting and passing clots during pregnancy

I posted on here a couple of months ago and am still having the same problem.  Right after I found out I was pregnant two months ago, I started passing bright red blood, but just spotting.  It rarely ever makes it to my underwear, but is there when I wipe.  I had two transvaginal ultrasounds at six weeks.  I have heard the baby's heartbeat twice since then (last time was yesterday) and I am now 14 1/2 weeks.  My doctor put me on pelvic rest back at six weeks and since I have been spotting every five or six days, my husband and I have chosen to keep me on pelvic rest.  I don't do anything overly strenuous, just light housework.  Today I was cleaning the kitchen (dishes, sweeping, mopping, dusting, etc.) and just a few minutes ago, I had some more spotting and there were two small clots (the blood is bright red).  My doctor says not to stress out over it too much unless I bleed so much that I have to wear a pad and actually change to a second one.  Has anyone else had this problem?  Any suggestions or comments?  This is my third pregnancy and I am 38.  My last child was born almost eight years ago and this one was unplanned.  I was taking Orthotricyclen when I got pregnant and took it daily up until I found out I was pregnant, basically at 5 1/2 weeks.

It is a relief and answer to prayer that I am not the only one.  This pregnancy has been hard since day 1.  I am a diabetic and I am 38 and my last child was born 16 years ago.  Thank ou for your encouraging words.  I only see blood after I urinate and there has only been dime size clots.  Baby is kicking, belly is growing so I am praying we all see this through.

Hey, so I am with you guys, I am 8 weeks pregnant with bleeding and clots. I read online that this is about the time that the placenta attaches to the baby and that it can attach itself incorrectly, causing the bleeding. Most people I have seen who have had that have the bleeding eventually stop because the baby gets bigger and your body fixes itself. Unfortunately for all of us, we are all wondering if we are going to be ok, if baby will make it, but think positive...don't stress yourself out about it because it can make it worse. chin up...we are strong women!!!

i'm 5 weeks and 4 days. I only found out i was expecting, then tuesday just gone i started bleeding. I went doctors and they said they was happy with my health and not to worry. But i then started passing small clots too. I went back to my doctor and he said this can happen and baby sometimes is absolutly fine and healthy. I have an ultra sound scan on monday so hopefully i see all is well. I really do pray for my babies health and for all you ladies experiencing the same x x
