Late on Prenatal Vitamins

My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for a while... to the point I pretty much gave up hope. I just had my first ever positive home pregnancy test (soo excited!) And we are estimated at 7wks from my LMP. However, because I didn't think it was going to happen for us I haven't been taking my prenatal vitamins and I have been drinking alcoholic beverages (not getting drunk.but I enjoy a glass of wine or two or a white russian about 3 times a week).. my obgyn can't get us in for 1 week and I'm panicking because here it FINALLY happens and I haven't been taking care of myself. I guess I'm hoping to hear a few good stories about similar circumstances where the baby was fine?? Any advice?

And think about it this way, there are drug addicts out there that dont know they are preggo till months later.. And some never quit and still go on to have some pretty healthy babies (of course not in all cases but still..) you will be a great mom, already worried about the babe. :-) soo happy for you.

Go get the gummies fromt he store untill you get the good ones from the doc. Your baby will be fine. A lot of my friends told me that they never even took theirs and their babies are fine. Dont freak out, your baby is taking what it needs from your body anyways. Youll be okie dokie, but id get the gummies from the store asap. :-) congratulations mama to be. :-)

With my first pregnancy I went out to a party and got pretty drunk, took a test a week later-positive. And my daughters 6 and perfectly healthy, she was born healthy too. Same thing with this pregnancy, same thing happened with this pregnancy too, got pretty tipsy about a week before I found out. And everything is developing well.
I remember reading that the umbilical cord isn't even fully formed until closer to 10 weeks anyways. Just take care from here on out and you'll be fine.

I got " hammered " of you want to call it that,  on my anniversary with my husband one weekend,  that Monday I took a test and tada! My girl is now almost 3 and smart as ever,  turned out perfect.  She was 7lbs. Healthy as can be!  Still healthy too :)

I always find out early like at 4wks BUT alot of women don't find out until much later. I've knew a girl who didnt know she was pregnant and had her baby in her toilet. Imagine going 9mos. Her baby was perfectly healthy. And they say you can drink a glass of wine during pregnancy. As long as you stop drinking and start taking your vitamins, you and the baby will be fine. Congrats and enjoy this! I smoked cigs until the day I found out and didnt start my vitamins until after I saw the dr a week later. You will be fine. Oh and it took my husband and I 3 years to conceive with our first child.

Start taking your prenatals and I know alot of women that have drank before knowing they were pregnant and their babies are fine. When you go to the doctor make sure you let them know of your concern. Just remember it's what you do from here on out. Congrats!
