Taking Medicine

My baby doctor has been prescribing me Hydrocondone for pain during this pregnancy and I was just wondering if anyone else has been prescribed it and if their babies were okay? Thanks

I've been taking hydrocodone for like 3 years now due to a car accident and I'm now breastfeeding my 2week old and the doc all say it's OK
I'm wondering if any other mother's due to? And my baby was pooping since I brought her home like 6 times a day but yesterday through today she pooped less but also aside she has gas

Hydrocodone is not percocet. Its the drug in vicodin and norco. The drug in percocet is called OXYcodone. I was taking it light weight with my first and he was fine. I'm taking it more now than I was then because I'm havijg my  third baby in 4 years and the pain is miserable. It won't hurt your baby developmentally at all. The biggest risk is if the baby comes out and is no longer getting the drugs through your blood stream he/she will have to go through with drawals.

Hydrocodone is NOT percocet. Its still an opiod analgesic but they are very different and Hydrocodone carries more of a risk and you should not breast feed while on it. Percocet is Oxycodone.

Wow I didn't know that, cause i know I be so nervous to take medicine for anything during my pregnancy I just deal with the pain

Yup completely safe. They give the same stuff after you deliver for pain medication too and it's completely safe for breastfeeding too. It's generic for percocet

Yeah when i was around 20 some weeks My doctor gave it to me because i had.really bad back pain and Now im 38 weeks and i got a healthy little boy just waiting for him to come out =)!!! Good Luck =)
