Cramps

I am 8 weeks pregnant and my 1st doctors appointment is in a few days. I've been experiencing severe cramps in my stomach and back. Is this normal?

Could be dehydration if the cramps aren't too bad. Drink plenty of fluids (water, all-natural juices, not soda or coffee). But I do agree with the above comment.

If the pain is too severe go to a hospital. Since you haven't had your first ultrasound yet, youd want to make sure it isn't  symptoms of an ectopic pregnancy. Cramping is normal as long as there isn't bleeding. But like I said if the pain is like really bad and agonizing then I'd be concerned.
