We lost a baby at 6 weeks so with this pregnancy we told our two very best friends at 7 weeks after our first scan. We then told our parents and siblings at 10.5 weeks after the first obstetrician visit and the everyone else at 13 weeks after the scan.. Told work at 8 weeks as I was getting server exhaustion.

I'm in week 5. My work girls already know as I work in Childcare also and want to be cautious with what I do. We haven't told our parents yet but I'm trying to wait another few weeks. I doubt I'll stay quiet until 12 weeks as I'm so impatient. Maybe I'll try to wait till 8 weeks or 10 if I could

Its up to you. We told our parents quite early at not even 6 weeks (i knew at 4)
simply because,  if something went wrong, we'd like them to knew for support through that.

ended up telling work and such really early too though, i have a muscle condition so had to reduce work a bit already.  (Work in childcare)

I'd say when you make it to 12 weeks that's when your risk of miscarriage drops significantly but then again whenever you feel ready it's your special moment
