Tubal ligation Question n advice

For those that are interested in tubal ligation have you had your doctor said you have to wait six weeks after delivery? I don't want to wait that long.

My Dr does it within 48 hours I believe but for me its being done right away but that's cuz I'm having a csection so she's doing it after taking my baby girl out

Yes I'm in the same boat as you. My dr. said 6-8 weeks! And the only way he'd do it the immediately after giving birth was if I had a c section, which I don't want. I think it's ridiculous. I'm on baby number 5 and I could be pregnant again before I reach 6-8 weeks!!! LOL!!

My Dr said it'll depend on how booked the or is when I deliver if I get to have a vaginal delivery.  If c section it'll be done while I'm on the table. Otherwise if or is booked he said he would recommend the depo shot before I leave the hospital and schedule to to insert the "coils" at my 6wk check up. Where I'm at they only offer actual tubal ligation if your having a c section. Otherwise its coils cause its just as effect and less invasive, with faster recovery. Or so I'm told.
