Was my wife really pregnant or miscarriaged

I am glad I found this site by googling.. can you please answer me something as you answered others... My wife's (age 30) last minstruation was on 4 January 2015 and due date was 4 February, she had regular period. on 16 February she took home test and got positive result. Then we went to diagnostic center and took another urine test on 17 February and got Positive result again, then we visited Obs/Gyn specialist on the same day. The Doctor suggested Duphaston (dydrogesterone 10mg)--three times a day and ESP (Zinc Sulphate USP 61.8 mg, Folic Acid BP 500mcg) --once a day.
Today (18 February 2015) in morning my wife informed me she got bleeding looks like her period, though after the noon the bleeding stopped. I talked to the doctor again and he advised for Ultra Sono Gram (USG). After seeing the report he said , according to the report my wife is not pregnant but as Urine test shows positive result so we should observe more seven or eight days.

However, after googling I found Duphaston is band in UK and should be prescribed in documented low progestorone, though we did not test progestorone level.

Now my question is "does my wife really pregnant, was it error of urine reports for two times? does the USG report wrong? or my wife experienced miscarriage? what should we do? will we change our doctor?

If you answer us soon it will be great help.

Could just be to early to see anything on the sono. If I were you guys I would wait a couple weeks take another test and if positive go back for another sono by then they should be able to see at least a sac. Good luck hope everything works out. As for the bleeding it could have been implantation bleeding as long as there were no clots

She needs to try and remain calm as hard as it is stressing is bad while you are pregnant there is so many reasons why a woman bleeds during pregnancy your cervix is so sensitive and full of blood that it can cause you to bleed easily by how soon she stopped bleeding to me it doesn't sound like a miscarriage I've had 2 and the bleeding doesn't stop right away and you are in a ton of pain cramps worse than a period with how early she would be you would not see anything on a ultrasound this early just her uterus would be enlarged getting ready for the baby I would wait and get another ultrasound done I wish you both the best I know how hard it is going through this especially if you've been trying for a while you both will be in my prayers I hope the best for her pregnancy

Stress just makes things worse. It's not good on her or baby so try to do anything to get her to relax. I have had lots of stress with this pregnancy and last but know I have to stay calm and relax because stressing isn't going to change the outcome. I have been trying for 12 year to have kids with my husband and we have never stopped trying and we have a almost 7 year old a 9 and a half month old and 27 weeks 3 days With our first girl. I know how stressful trying to have children is and then having problems when you do get pregnant. Relax and take it a day at a time.

I would think she's pregnant and you should treat her like she is until you know what's going on... As in prenatal vitamins eating habits you may want to hold off from having sex until you know for sure just not to cause any problems if there is something going on. Pregnancy tests don't lie for the most part especially having two positives. She probably isn't far enough along for the ultrasound to show anything. I know with women who have miscarriages they are not supposed to have sex until the 2nd Trimester so to play it safe I wouldn't ... That's up to you guys. Good luck!

Women have bleeding all the time during pregnancy for many different reasons some reasons are unknown. When I went for my first ultrasound with this baby I was 6 weeks and 1 day according to measurement and they could only see the yolk sack with a heartbeat. According to my last menstrual cycle I should have been 7 weeks 3 days but they said I probably ovulated a little later and that could be what happened with ur wife. I would wait a couple of weeks and get another ultrasound and take another test. Was the bleeding just for a short amount of time?
