What is going on with me?? Labor? Something wrong?

I feel like I'm having a drawn out prelaboring type process here... My symptoms started 5 days ago with increased contractions, bleeding, more nausea, and I was dilated to 4 cm on Monday. I am 37 weeks today.
Yesterday I lost my mucus plug and was having low back pain and contractions plus my panties felt completely damp all over. The staff at the hospital was quite nice and seemed to want to be thorough. My test for amniotic fluid was negative and my cervix is still the same in dilation; but the nurse told me that I will not reach 40 weeks based on what she felt. The nurse acknowledged that I was contracting.
My baby's heart rate was a bit alarming to the nurse because he was dipping etc and showing signs of distress and I also noticed this because his patterns were quite unusual. An ultrasound test was done to test for limb and body movement and he passed that test...so I was sent home.
Last night I woke up with some painful contractions and lower abdominal pain... today I had a major change in bowels (as in soft and a lot), I have vaginal pain/pressure, and I feel weak, shaky, and nauseous.
So...I've had loss of plug, nausea, bleeding, contractions, pressure, low back pain and suspected fetal distress.
I feel like my body is trying to tell me something. This is my 3rd and my first 2 were preterm because of pre-e and eclampsia...I'm kind of at a loss.

If your body is telling you something is wrong then I would be persistent and demanding. I hope you are able to get through to your doctor.

I see my OB on Monday. I feel that he won't listen to me, as he was the one who had me discharged when I'm dilated, contacting, have high blood pressure consistently the whole hospital visit, and baby is showing signs of distress. I'm frustrated and scared. My OB is a nice person and I know that he is intelligent but I feel that he is too laid back.

When do you see your doctor?

Stay hydrated and fed. Sit in warm water for the contractions. No longer than 30 minutes. Drink PLENTY of water. & rest. You should most definitely go back to the doctor if you feel dizzy and contracting a lot.
