When I had my son I didn't believe about the myths but it is true about not taking care when I had my son it was Summer and I seemed fine but for not covering my back later within less 2 weeks just one day my back was killing me you do get air and it hurts so when I had my daughter I took care of myself more make sure I was cover I shower and everything just make sure you cover your feet a lot cause that's were you get a lot of the cold and your back   Like I said I didn't believe until I went through it

I want to know where people hear stuff like this! I took a bath as soon as I could after giving birth!

Wash your hair. Thats just gross. Your pores open up in hot water. No matter birth or not. To be clean.

Wow, I had my csection at 7am & we had to be at the hospital by 5am, so I took a shower before we left the house. They wouldn't let me out of the leg air bag machine until the next day & they finally let me take a shower that night. I was grossed out from not taking a shower for almost 2 days!

Oh god, my culture is full of silly myths too that absolutely drive me crazy.   Don't worry.   Just wash your hair.   I can't go more than a day without washing my hair or it looks like a greasy mess.

I HAD to wash after giving birth all 4 times. I have never heard that either lol! Soaking in the bath tub was actually advised me t as well. Theres nothing like bringing a child into this world and feeling like you just went through a hailstorm, then being able to refresh yourself, put on some comfortable jammies and snuggle your little bundle of joy:)

Wow! I can't last 2 days without washing my hair! How did you do it?? I'm sure it's going to have a nice feel to it since it was sitting in its natural oils for awhile! But aside from that... congrats!!!

I agree with alid32 you can't restrict your self from washing your hair or enjoying the weather. Well of course is there's a tornado well don't step a foot outside lol. But I mean just enjoying the baby and being able to go back to normal routines ;)

Those are all myths, many routed in various cultural beliefs that have been passed down generationally. Wash your hair, bake some cookies or go out without a hat - you will be fine:)

I heard of that too along with other few things.  I heard that after giving birth you also can't get near the stove because of the heat.  And that you also can't go outside without covering your head because of air. But I also think those are all myths. I don't exactly think all of that is true

Never heard that. I washed my hair within hours of having my daughter because I had sweat so much while giving birth.

That's a myth...wash your hair. How could washing your hair give you a setback?!
