When to tell?

I am six weeks and three days into my first pregnancy. We have told the exciting news to our closest family but can't decide whether to tell everyone before we make it to the safe zone at 12 weeks. What do you all do?

2 years ago we told everyone right away, but then miscarried at 8.5 weeks. It was hard on us and everyone.
Today I'm 8 weeks 2 days. The only people who know are close family and my supervisor (since I need to take time here and there for Dr appts). We are having an ultrasound done in a couple weeks (10 weeks pregnant) and we're going to tell more family & maybe close friends as long as everything comes back perfect. After 12 weeks, we'll announce to everyone. :)

I told social media and all my family the day my husband and I found out, I wasnt even 6 weeks yet. I wss way too excited not to share.

I had a miscarriage in April and the whole family new i was pregnant! It was devastating telling are parents and 11 year old. Now i am 11 W today and havent told anyone except my husbands mom we are telling everyone else next week after my appt. On Monday

I had my first ultrasound at 7 weeks and everything looked great - growing perfectly, strong heartbeat - and when we went for the sequential screening ultrasound at 11.5 weeks the baby had stopped growing and no longer had a heartbeat. I'm really glad we didn't tell everyone - sharing good news is easy but telling everyone it isn't going to happen after all... that's much harder. Explaining to our 3yo that he's not going to be a big brother just yet is hard enough.

Its up to you when you tell. I waited till my first ultrasound to tell my mom but told close friends and choice family members right away. Be careful who you tell. Some people will open their mouths and tell the people you are waiting to tell and then its a big mess. The first person i told took it upon herself to tell my sister, who is 16. So of course ahe told her best friend, who three weeks later ruined the surprise i had planned for my mom a week before my first ultrasound.. just be careful. Dont wanna hurt feelings.

Im 14weeks. I am not that close with my dad. He and my hubbys parents still dont know, or my dads side. But all my moms side knows.

im due 3-20-15 yay! i am telling family and friends on Fri the 1st because its my birthday and im having a big bbq. I figure if anything happens ill have support plus I cant wait any more lol

I told my close family right away..I was wayy to excited lol and waited until my first ultrasound to tell everyone else :)

I'm 6wks 2days, and I've only told my twin and best friend..  Baby #3 plan on telling daddy at 8wks after my first on appointment at 7w1d.. And then pry tell his family and maybe mine around 15wks..just to get pass the threatening Zone..

We announced at 10 weeks when I got an ultrasound and was told everything seemed just fine! I had a miscarriage 4 years ago at 6 weeks 1 day! In this pregnancy I started bleeding again exactly at 6 weeks 1 day, I was diagnosed with a subchorionic hemorrhage, and thank god everything seems just fine right now! I'm 20 weeks 3 days and about to find out the gender tomorrow! We will let everyone else depending on the results of tomorrow!

OMG... I am exactly the same is your due date 3-22-2015??? This is my fourth but I'm in the same boat we told our friends but don't want our family to know yet till we see the heart beating... And so we know there isn't more that one it something ;) that way we can just have one BIG announcement to our families. It is so hard though everytime I talk to a family member I feel bad not telling the yet.  # feelyourpain.

I'm 5 weeks 4 days and.I've only told close family. It's completely your.choice.if.you tell everyone now but personally I'd wait until you know everything is.ok, hope this helps xx
