I always kept my area trimmed but honestly have no interest in shaving or trying to and hurting my self lol. I did with my first But had an emergency c section so it didn't matter. Then with 2,3 and 4 I will trim but meh on the shave because I already have a scar and the hair kinda doesn't grow there anymore.

Some doctors prefer that you don't shave so that way they can shave where they want to line up the c section line. But I did wax a week or 2 before I had mine and the nurse still tried to shave what wasn't there and mark a line with a marker for the c section line to be started up. But really it is all up to you

Yes. If you don't shave urself they will shave you... The nurse had checked to see if I had shaved, she said if not she was going to have to shave me but she said what they have to shave w isn't very good. So yes shave Ur lady parts, squat & use a mirror so you can see. I went & got a Brazilian wax 2 wks b4 my Csection.
