am I getting ready for labor?!?! ftm needs advice

So I lost my mucus plug. It was just a thick yellow string n thats it. And ive been having regular bm's that are..very soft. But I still havent had one real or fake contraction and no water break...could I still be getting close. Ive been 90% effaced and dialated to a 2 for a week now.. any thoughts or is it just a no tell situation. I walk and stand all day at work. I have a 10 hour shift comin up dnt want my water to break at work..I work the next 5days straight..:/ (my boss doesnt exactly understand I could pop anytime due in 9 days but hes not a douche or anything he just doesnt kno anything about pregnancy haha)

I don't know why women on here are saying your baby could get infected. Doctors tell women all the time to have sex to induce labor. Check out sites like webmd and what to expect when expecting when you Google stuff. Stay away from the random sites and blogs.

Losing your mucus plug will not harm or cause infection to your baby. Women can lose their plug weeks before delivering and some lose it in stages. It's your amniotic fluid that protects baby from infections. That's why they say if your water breaks you need to go to the hospital right away.

Our er here is a joke. The only reason I will ever go to our hospital is to have my LO. When I first became prego n didnt have a doc yet they told me I was not prefnant it was a false. Then they told me I was having a miscariage. Followed by ill never be able to have kids becausenof my hormone levels.....what that doesnt even make sense. Oh n here I am with a healthy baby girl at 38+5. Sry for the rant not on you its on our hospital n of course I live in a rinky redneck town with only one lol.

It could be any time bc you are sanding and walking all day at work your body is used to it!! Try to do sorhing out of the ordinary for you like dancing or squats! But yes you should tell your doctor about your plug and I would not let your bf ejaculate inside of you without your plug I. Place the baby can get an infection!!
