chicken pox please answer

I have been to the doctors and he thinks I have chicken pox they are doing a blood test and the results will be back tomorrow. Understandably I'm worried sick.
I'm 24 weeks has anyone had chickenpox whilst pregnant or anything doctor thought might be and wasnt any responses would be great I am so upset.
I was in contact 2 weeks ago with a child who had spots but the mother assured me it was not chickenpox I now am presuming it was

I have no idea... When I was 8 wks along I did get these little spots and a slight rash and they itched like crazy and spread. Started on my chest then moved to my arms, stomach, and back... I had no idea what they were and immediately got anti itch spray and used that for a few days and they were gone. My husband and my son did not get them which makes me think it wasn't anything to serious. I hope u find out soon and get relief!

How frustrating that you were in contact and the mother said it wasn't chicken pox...I guess she may not have known, but I would be upset that she wasn't more cautiously especially if she knew you were pregnant. It seems like one of the bigger concerns considering that you are pregnant is having/controlling a fever. Hopefully your Dr will get the results back soon and will have more information for you. If it was me I'd google to try and find out what you can so you can ask the Dr questions when he calls back. I hope everything will be okay, It's good you found out before it was full blown. Good luck.

I'm sorry, I just don't know, I'm suprised the Dr didn't give you more info. Maybe call the nurses hotline. I hope everthing turns out fine. Will be praying for you and your baby.
