What type of exercise do u do and is the therapy benefiting u
I've had panic disorder from PTSD for the last 9 years. With my first 2 pregnancies my anxiety disappeared altogether, but with this 3rd pregnancy my anxiety attacks got way worse during my first and now third trimesters. My therapist says it's hormone related, and realizing that it's temporary is a bit of a comfort. I also meditate daily, practice deep breathing exercises, avoid caffeine, processed and fast foods, and try to exercise. Plus I've been doing Cognitive Behavior Therapy for the last 2 years. Realizing the source of the anxiety and writing about it as feelings arise also helps me.
Thank u so much will definitely try the teas and meditate...caffeine isn't a problem since I haven't consumed it in months
when I used to get panic attacks, cutting out ALL caffeine from my diet helped tremendously! you may have already done this, being pregnant and all, so help quiet your mind with daily meditations and deep breathing. understanding what is happening and knowing it will pass helps break the cycle of anxiety, panic, then fear, back to anxiety, and so on. ask your dr. what daily herbal remedy, to help calm nerves before they start, will be safe during pregnancy. check into herbal teas also...they have some great calming affects. steer clear of st John's wort, and chamomile!...they are herbal camera, but not good during pregnancy.
At this point I'll take any advice...i am going to try maybe prenatal yoga and start cognitive behavior therapy and see if that helps
Yes! Ugh its the worst I have ever had. The only remedy I have found to work for me...(which may be really odd to some but it works so oh well lol) is either stick my head in the freezer or getting a big cup of ice and focusing on my breathing by having my face in the cup so I can breath in the cool air. For some reason the cool air and me breathing through my nose out my mouth helps. If I do it without the cool air it doesn't help. Like I said before this might be the weirdest thing you've ever heard but it worked for me. Other than this I haven't found anything else to work. I don't take any medication for it nor will I try.
