I went into the hospital at 32 weeks having contractions every 2-3 minutes I was 50% effaced but only a finger tip dilated they gave me medicine to stop it and gave me steroid shots just in case baby came early but i have finally made it to 37 weeks (:
Yea we thought dehydration would be it but they told me when they tested my urine that I was basically completely hydrated.... O the joys of pregnancy lol
I am 35 weeks and went into hospital yesterday because I was having intense cramps and tightness in my upper belly.. Called doctor n told me to go in since my firsr one (my 8 year old) was premature I could be going into preterm labor.. They checked my cervix n I am dialated 1 centimeter n had irregular contractions. Tuesday I went to doctor but wasn't dialated but baby head is down.. But I am dehydrated and dehydration causes cramping n contractions.. But as of right now not going into preterm labor.. Hoping my little one stays in until 37 weeks which is consider full term :-) good luck I am too on bed rest until I see my doctor next week..
Thank you ladies! I think 37 or 38 weeks is considered full term
Even if ur contractions arent consistent u can still dilate i was on labor and didnt kno because i wasnt having contractions but i felt a pinch in my side and i just wamted to check on it and i was 8 cm so yes u can dilate with out having then just stay in the bed and get alot of rest
I had the same thing happen to me last week and they said it was contractions and sent me home and did nothing :(
FTM: how many weeks do you have to be until you are no longer considered preterm labor?
Even if my contractions are not consistent could I still dilate?
Well, the hospital put me on bed rest and declared me "preterm labor" :(
If you aren't dialating then its possible to not go preterm...if you start dialating your dr will more than likely move your csec date.
I had the same thing happen to me with my second baby the contractions would come and go and i wasnt dilated as well but i made it past my due date by a week i guess its but our bodies preparing for laber.
i had contractions the other day but i didbt call my doc or anything i just stayed in bed. :/ btw first baby , im 29 weeks and 4 days.
O and I have had somewhat diarrhea 3 days prior to feeling contractions. (I know TMI) but apparently its normal BC your body is getting ready
Tightening everywhere, not just in one spot of my belly, low and mid back pain, cramping ( like a period cramp but worse), sore hips ( feels bruised ), headache, and a tad bit of nausea. But all that at once lol
How do contractions feel??
